How can I get the most out of all these “first dates” with guys I meet on online dating sites?

I am tired of getting all fixed up, being stressed, spending money on transportation to meet guys and endind up sitting with them and just talking (half the time the guy is too cheap to buy coffee even though we meet at a coffee house). I am looking for a quality guy to be with and my time is limited so I want every meeting to be profitable but it seems I only meet guys whom are full of baggage (yes they wait till we meet to drop the info that they have been married 3 times or have small children). Alot of them are just looking for free sex too, which I’m not. I’m tired of meeting guys who waste my time. How can I screen guys to make sure they are worth meeting, at least profitable to me?

talk to them on the phone and maybe on a webcam. You can see how they talk and learn from their body motions. Or go somewhere where you can meet them in person. It is easy to get the wrong idea from online dating sites.
